Mr Tony Soh Cheow Yeow (Appointed 5 April 2021)

  1. Tony is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre. Previously, he was with The Ascott Limited (Nov 2007 to Jul 2018) and prior to that, with the Singapore Civil Service holding appointments in various government agencies, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Defence and Singapore Tourism Board. In addition to serving as Chairman of Focus on the Family Singapore, Tony also serves as President at YMCA of Singapore (since May 2021), and Director of Vanguard Healthcare Pte Ltd (since Oct 2017).

Mr Wong Seng Yoong Mr Tan Thuan Seng
  1. Our Directors are unpaid volunteers who serve for a maximum term limit of 10 years. The Appointment & Nomination Committee assesses and recommends potential board candidates to the Board for approval. The Board conducts a self-evaluation each year to assess their performance and effectiveness. The Executive Management conducts philosophy and brand training prior to each board meeting and may also highlight relevant trainings throughout the year to Board Directors.

Mr Andrew Kwan (Appointed 5 April 2021)

  1. Andrew is the Group Managing Director of Commonwealth Capital group of companies and non-resident Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden. He was conferred the Rotary-ASME Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2004 and the Spirit of Enterprise-Nexus Entrepreneur of the Year in 2014.

    Andrew is happily married with 4 children, chairs the Council of Elders at church, is a non-resident fellow of National University of Singapore's Eusoff Hall, and sits on the boards of Restaurant Association of Singapore, Singapore Business Federation and Aquaculture Innovation Centre. He also chairs the Partnerships & Fundraising Committee of Focus on the Family Singapore.

Mr Choe Peng Sum (Appointed 5 April 2021)

  1. Peng Sum is the CEO of Pan Pacific Hotels Group. Prior to this, he was the CEO of Frasers Hospitality International and non-Executive Director at Frasers Hospitality Trust. Peng Sum serves on various Boards/Committees, including Crest Secondary School, ACS Board of Governors, the Ministry of Education's Committee for Private Education / SkillsFuture Singapore, Enterprise Singapore's Singapore Quality Awards and SAFRA. He also chairs the HR & Remuneration Committee of Focus on the Family Singapore.

Mr Goh Leng Soo (Jeffrey)

  1. Jeffrey is a self-declared serial entrepreneur in the Fintech industry who is now at Grab, and was formerly Group CEO of NETS and Co-Founder of AXS. Outside of work, he volunteers as a prison counsellor, a grassroots leader under the People's Association, and gives free tuition to under-privileged children. Jeffrey is a member of both the Finance committee and Partnerships & Fundraising committee.
Mr Boaz Nazar

  1. Boaz is Director at Kalco Law LLC and appointed Commissioner for Oaths as well as Notary Public. He and his wife are Master Trainers of the PREP(R) marriage preparation course helmed by the Registry of Marriages and regularly conduct marriage serminars and mentoring. He serves as Honorary Secretary of his church, and chairs the Corporate Communications Committee as well as the Clinical Advisory Group at Focus on the Family Singapore.
Ms Jessica Bin

  1. Jessica is Deputy Director (Industry Human Capital) in Enterprise Singapore. She is a young mum to two boys and a girl and is passionate about work-life harmony matters. Jessica is an accredited facilitator in Focus on the Family Singapore's programmes and chairs the Programmes Committee.
Mr Andy Tan Chye Guan

  1. Andy is the Chairman of Asia Pacific Real Estate Association (APREA)'s Singapore Chapter, and former CEO and Representative of Generali Real Estate Asia branch at Generali Group. His experience in real estate investment and asset management includes having worked at GIC, Keppel Land and URA. He serves as a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID), Member of the Institute of Banking & Finance (IBF) Exam Board, and Inquiry Panel Member of The Law Society appointed by the Chief Justice. Andy is also Director or Advisor to various companies ranging from investors to disruptors.
Mr Bernard Ng

  1. Bernard is Founder and Director of Bideas Holdings Pte Ltd with investments in one-stop turnkey soutions for marketing, design and production, and a group of restaurants locally as well as regionally. He is also Founder and Managing Director of KC Group of Companies specialising in hair and beauty services. Apart from his business, Bernard is actively involved in marriage and parenting training and volunteer counselling, and has helped organise various marriage and charity events. He also chairs the Finance Committee of Focus on the Family Singapore.
Mrs Ruth Wan-Lau

  1. Ruth is an author, editor and publisher who started her career at the Ministry of Defence. She is now Publisher of the Children's and Education Department at World Scientific, commissioning over 100 titles including the national bestseller World of Science comics series and World of Discovery reading programme. Married with 3 children from pre-teens to teens, she has diverse interests in the arts, music, politics, history, heritage, food/cooking, Christianity, parenting, family and travel.
Mr Paul Yuen

  1. As General Counsel, Paul heads the Legal Department, which oversees legal matters in Monetary Authority of Singapore and supports all departments in discharging the functions of MAS. He is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore. Paul is a member of both the Audit and Risk committee and Programmes committee.
Ms Beh Siew Kim

  1. Siew Kim is the Chief Financial & Sustainability Officer and Managing Director (Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Japan, Korea) at The Ascott Limited, CapitaLand Investment's Lodging business unit. Siew Kim is also a Committee Member with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, Sustainability and Climate Change Committee. At Focus on the Family, Siew Kim is a member of both the Audit and Risk committee and HR & Remuneration committee
Ms Inez Fun

  1. Inez is currently the Global Skin Care Digital Transformation Lead at Unilever. She has over 18 years of experience in branding, marketing, advertising and strategic planning across B2B and B2C portfolios at brand, media platform and creative agency. She was the Co-lead for Singapore Chapter with Yahoo for Good where they served the underprivileged communities in Singapore. Inez is happily married with 3 kids. At Focus on the Family Singapore, Inez sits on both Corporate Comms and Programmes committees.
Mr Soon Sze Meng

  1. Sze Meng is the managing director of Temus, a digital transformation services company majority owned by Temasek. He led businesses in JD.com, Singtel, PayPal, and marketing in Visa and was in consulting with McKinsey and Monitor Deloitte. He has served on various boards including Singapore Institute of Technology, SkillsFuture Singapore and GoJek and on advisory council of WorldVision Singapore and XA Networks. He is a member of the partnership and fundraising committee for Focus.

  1. Joanna first started with Focus Singapore in March 2002 and has since "grown up" with the organisation! A career social service professional who moved upstream from remedial therapy and crisis counselling, Joanna is a seasoned family life educator and coach, licensed marriage solemniser and two-time recipient of the Work-Life Leadership Award (2018, 2010).
